For our client, located in Kontich, we are looking for a technician rolling bridges. Are you technically savvy, accurate and passionate about mechanics and electricity? Do you enjoy working on challenging installations and want to help build safe and reliable lifting systems? Then this position is really for you!
As a technician, you will be the point of contact for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, and ensuring the safety of overhead cranes, hoists and related equipment. Thanks to your work, these systems run safely, efficiently and reliably, a crucial role within the organization!
Tasks & responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on overhead cranes, hoists and related equipment
- Checking overhead cranes, hoists, ropes, chains, lifting belts, motors, brakes and gears
- Lubrication and maintenance of moving parts
- Electrical fault finding in switchboards, wiring and motors
- Fix mechanical problems, such as wear, breakage or misalignment
- Parts replacement, including bearings, brake linings, cables and sensors
- Check that installations comply with safety standards and test emergency stop systems
- Conduct load tests to ensure the safety and operation of facilities
- Perform work according to safety regulations and quality standards
- Communicate with colleagues and supervisors about progress and results
Your profile
- You have a degree and knowledge of: mechanics or electricity
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics
- Knowledge safety regulations
- You have experience in preventive maintenance and repairing mechanical and electrical failures
- You work accurately, safely and environmentally consciously
- You are independent and can correctly determine and implement interventions
- You are communicatively strong and keep neat work records
